HAWAII is a cult epitome for athletes, adventurers, peace-seekers, romantics – and for a relaxed and positive attitude to life. Diverse nature with rainforests, mountains, and dream beaches, hula-hula, and island beauties with flower wreaths in their hair are also unmistakably Hawaiian. Inspired by influential surfing legends, the WAVE in the brand name Bring the Aloha Spirit to you with tested, high-quality wellness products.
Since we enjoy being outdoors , it's naturally very important to us. Therefore, we'd love to delight you with product ideas that use natural and sustainable raw materials – with the smallest possible ecological footprint .

Our story
The starting signal
WAVE HAWAII was born in 2017, the third year after founding our CAVIDA GmbH, with which we operated as a distributor for various brands in German-speaking countries. That summer, we started planning our first three poncho models after seeing only ponchos on our surfing holidays that either didn't look good or were made from unsustainable materials and were anything but skin-friendly. After realizing that not only we, but many retailers and consumers shared this view, we launched our first three bamboo ponchos in 2018.

The development begins
We created our first WAVE HAWAII flyer and gradually acquired more retailers, which took a lot of time and effort – after all, who buys something from an unknown brand? Well, little by little, more and more retailers joined us, as our concept in terms of sustainability, quality, designs, and skin-friendliness seemed to be working. So we set about developing more ponchos.

Now it's going digital...
Our first catalog, featuring several new products, was launched. We were very proud. Style ponchos, travel ponchos, children's ponchos, and storm ponchos, as well as the first beach bucket, were added as further products – and our own brand became increasingly present within our distribution business. We were faced with a decision: continue with WAVE HAWAII or focus on our distribution business? Well, we continued with both. For now.

Full speed ahead
We've had our own online shop up and running for a year now. This has been good not only for us, but also for our retailers, as they have been able to benefit from our growing brand awareness. With around 200 products now in our range, we've made the decision to withdraw from the distribution business and focus solely on WAVE HAWAII. With a heavy heart, we've gradually separated ourselves from the other brands. Our future focus will be on professionalizing and positioning our own brand. Of course, this only worked with our fantastic employees and business partners.

We've grown from a small business with a garage warehouse to a niche market leader with approximately 1,000 m² of storage space. We've done this without any external financial support, which has been quite challenging at times. We've discontinued our third-party brands since the turn of the year. Our international expansion is gaining momentum. We're pleased that many of our customers appreciate our values, philosophy, quality, and designs, and they continually encourage us to continue doing the same. You can count on us: We do it. And we hope that we can bring joy and enrich the lives of many people with this. We carry the sun in our hearts – and we'd love to let it shine for you. Life is great! 😊 And hey: Stay tuned! We feel right at home here in the midst of nature . But we also enjoy traveling to discover the beauty and charm of different places.
And when we're not traveling, we like to dream of these beautiful places – for example, Hawaii, the friendly people there and the fantastic nature with mountains, forests and the sea with its bright sandy beaches and amazing waves. With this inspiration, we started as a family business in 2014 to share our ideas and our style . We love nature, we love sports, we love the sun, we love positive people, we love our kids and life. We listen to music with real guitars. Our dogs are allowed to join in the office. Let's be honest? Sometimes doing nothing is a blessing – and not a waste of time!

There's no such thing as can't be done. Jutta makes it possible. What? Whatever – give it a try! And that friendly voice on the phone? Exactly, that's her too. With two kids, a husband, and a job, she's never bored. Sometimes she equips herself with a loaner dog and running shoes – no forest path is safe from her.

Mister Skate, Mister Bike – the youngest member of the team can't survive two days without his boards. When he's exhausted, you have to wipe the grin off his face. Then he calmly takes care of back-office tasks and contributes ideas for photos and videos.

Elisa
Mental coaching, sales, and social media are Elisa's world. Everything you see about us on social media bears her signature. Traveling internationally, always with a laptop, surfboard, and skateboard, she helps others with psychological and mental training.

Marion
"Slow down!" isn't in Marion's vocabulary. Our Mrs. "Let's go!" doesn't waste any time, but skips the first three courses. Anything else would be boring and a waste of time. But don't worry, she doesn't neglect her meticulousness and orderliness. And when she's not taking care of things like deliveries and returns, she enjoys spending her afternoons and weekends in the fields and woods, enjoying nature with her dog and everything that comes with it. After all, her batteries need to be recharged sometimes.

Stressful times? Hectic everyday life? Freddy doesn't have to. He has the necessary calmness when it comes to order processing and fulfillment – even when things get rocky. He showcases his professional skills at trade fairs. And he always finds balance in skating or biking.

Shanny was born with her first board. Saltwater flows through her veins. As a digital nomad, she's at the cutting edge. When she's not on the water or in the snow, she's at university, at her desk, or on her bike.

If you like our ponchos, bathrobes, and designs, it's usually Chantale who's behind them. Her ideas are sure to end up on paper, and our web shop is in good hands with her. When it comes to windsurfing, kitesurfing, and snowboarding, no one can beat her.

This guy is always calm. Except when the doorbell rings. Then he's excited and always in the front row. No other person shakes their tail as fast as Miro's. Otherwise, he's the calming influence in the office, making sure everyone stays motivated for their work-life balance and always encouraging them to take a nap – no matter what time of day.

Annette is our finance minister, who never misses even the smallest irregularity. Lothar is busy in the field, traveling across the country to spread the good news about WAVE HAWAII, among other things. Nana is on hand when it comes to creating new collections and creations.
